Royal Coachman on Snow Perisher is located in the Smiggin Holes Village, part of Perisher Blue Ski Resort, approximately 30kms from Jindabyne on the Kosciuszko Road.
You have the choice of the following methods of travel to the lodge:
Jindabyne
Park at Jindabyne and take a taxi to the lodgeSawpit Creek
Park at Sawpit Creek carpark and catch the bus to Smiggin Holes – Daily National Park Entry Fees Apply**Skitube
Park at the Skitube Bullocks Flat carpark, on the road to Thredbo, and catch a train to Perisher station. You can then take the free shuttle bus to Smiggin Holes. The Royal Coachman on Snow is located across the road from the bus stop.Park at the Lodge.
Please note that there are only LIMITED parking spaces available at the lodge. Parking must be arranged at the time of booking. Parking is not guaranteed for all holiday bookings and should be requested when making your holiday booking. Daily National Park Entry Fees Apply**.
Perisher Blue is an easy 5 to 6 hour drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne with half the distance on freeway standard or dual carriage roads.
Roads and Snow Chains
From Jindabyne, access by road to Perisher, Smiggins and Guthega is via the Kosciuszko Road, with snow chains required to be carried by all vehicles past the National Park entrance (including 4WD’s) . It is an easy half hour drive from Jindabyne in good weather. Between June 1 and October 10, motorists are legally required to carry properly fitting chains in any vehicle in a "snow-ice" risk section within the National Park.
Kosciuszko National Park Fees
Entry permits are required for all vehicles at Park Entry Gates. The Kosciuszko National Park entry fee for cars is $27 per day or you may prefer to buy an annual pass for $190. This is payable at the National Parks Centre in Jindabyne or at the entry gates.
